2. Composition and structure

• Melamine decorative paper is essentially a paper with patterns and colors that is impregnated with adhesive and coated with a layer of Melamine on top.

• The primary components of the paper are wood pulp, titanium, and other substances.

• Melamine is an organic base that is sparingly soluble in water and has a chemical formula of C3H6N6

3. Manufacturing process

• Firstly, the decorative paper is patterned and colored.

• Then, the paper is impregnated with adhesive and coated with Melamine.

• Finally, the paper is dried and cut into specified sizes

4. Advantages

5. Disadvantages

• Compared to other surfaces like Laminate or Acrylic, Melamine has limitations in shaping.

• The surface is less resistant to scratches, abrasion, and impacts than Laminate.

Typically, Melamine-coated decorative paper is pressed onto materials such as particle boards or MDF boards for use in furniture production, such as tables, chairs, beds, and partitions.
